The Artifact's Lore
She had fled inland — away from the sea, away from him. Away from the thing that loved her in ways that left no room for air. One afternoon, passing a wandering merchant’s stall, a witch’s eye caught a conch shell half-hidden in the corner. And inside it — she saw him weeping.
Teardrops Like Pearl is a hand-sculpted relic rooted in dark fantasy and grotesque beauty. A clay-sculpted eye sits embedded within a natural conch shell — and when the candle burns, melted wax flows slowly from the eye like luminous tears, as if the shell itself is quietly grieving something it cannot name.
The Forging
Each piece is individually artisan-forged from natural conch shell, stone clay, and resin. The shell is selected by hand — no two shells share the same form, weight, or surface history. The clay-sculpted eye is fitted to the shell’s interior after forging, its placement determined by the shell’s own geometry. The wax-weeping effect is functional, not decorative: a candle placed inside the shell burns, and melted wax flows from the eye — slowly, without instruction.
Anatomical & Material Observation
The dominant structure is the clay-sculpted eye — embedded within the shell’s opening, oriented outward, its surface finished to hold the wax channel that produces the weeping effect. The resin layer seals the junction between clay and shell, preserving the integrity of the form under heat. Surface variations in the shell — texture, coloration, ridge patterns — are inherent to the natural material. These are not inconsistencies. They are the shell’s own record.

Artifact Preservation
Each relic within our archive is either artisan-forged or meticulously unearthed. The materials bear the natural marks of time, forging, and intentional decay. Micro-texture shifts, asymmetrical forms, and heavy patina are never flaws—they are the vital proof of authenticity that separates these oddities from mass-produced objects. To preserve its essence, avoid harsh chemicals and allow the artifact to age naturally within your personal sanctuary.
Acquisition & Transport
Due to the rare and often singular nature of our curated archive, all acquisitions are handled as final once dispatched.
If an artifact arrives damaged in transit, please contact the Archive within 72 hours of delivery with an unboxing video or clear photographic evidence. Once verified, we will arrange an appropriate resolution.
