Product details

The shell is a shrine that did not ask to be one. The violet iris at its center was not placed there — it was sealed there, the way the ocean seals everything it decides to keep: without announcement, without ceremony, with absolute finality. The pearls along the interior wall are not scattered. They are stationed. Each one marks a point where the dream pressed against the shell wall and left an impression before the tide pulled it back under.

Lore & Provenance

This relic belongs to The Lover’s Eye series — a catalogued study of the gaze as vessel. The oyster shell, lavender-glazed and pearl-scattered, does not present the eye as ornament. It presents it as a sealed interior: a violet ocular form preserved inside a structure the ocean spent years closing around a reverie it could not release.

Anomalies & Forging

The oyster shell is hand-glazed in lavender with soft-sheen finish; pearls are hand-set across the interior surface; the faux ocular form is embedded at center with pale lash detailing along the upper and lower ridge. Minor asymmetry in pearl placement, variation in glaze gradation across the shell surface, and slight irregularities in the ocular positioning are inherent to the forging process — not deviations from it.
