The Artifact's Lore

The serpent did not arrive after the eye. They were recovered together — coiled, fused, the boundary between scale and lid no longer legible. The eye beneath remains open: green iris, red-threaded sclera, gaze undiminished by whatever process produced this configuration. Below the lower lid, a chain descends — weighted with drops of red, iridescent violet, deep burgundy, pale blue — as though the eye has been weeping in a spectrum that has no name. It is worn pinned to the chest. The eye faces outward. It has always faced outward.

Lore & Provenance

The Lover’s Eye archive does not only preserve devotion. It preserves what devotion attracts. This relic arrived already occupied — the serpent coiled above the iris as though it had always been there, as though the eye had grown the serpent as a crown rather than a warning. It was catalogued without explanation. The chain below it was already attached.

Anomalies & Forging

The surface of the brooch body carries the irregular texture of hand-worked mixed media — slight variation in the enamel finish, organic asymmetry in the serpent coil, and positional variance in the gemstone drop arrangement. The chain descends from the lower lid with multiple suspended elements; their order and spacing are inherent to the forging process. Each piece constitutes a singular archival record.

Physical Composition

Material: Mixed-media — enamel, sculpted eye form, decorative chain with gemstone drop elements
Wearable configuration: Brooch

Containment Protocols

Keep away from moisture and prolonged direct light. The enamel surface and gemstone drop elements should not be submerged. Store in a dry enclosure when not displayed. Handle by the brooch body; avoid applying pressure to the chain or drop elements. Pin mechanism should be fastened when stored.

Artifact Preservation

Each relic within our archive is either artisan-forged or meticulously unearthed. The materials bear the natural marks of time, forging, and intentional decay. Micro-texture shifts, asymmetrical forms, and heavy patina are never flaws—they are the vital proof of authenticity that separates these oddities from mass-produced objects. To preserve its essence, avoid harsh chemicals and allow the artifact to age naturally within your personal sanctuary.

Acquisition & Transport

Due to the rare and often singular nature of our curated archive, all acquisitions are handled as final once dispatched.
If an artifact arrives damaged in transit, please contact the Archive within 72 hours of delivery with an unboxing video or clear photographic evidence. Once verified, we will arrange an appropriate resolution.

The Archive's Ethos

Since 2025, Awhisker has evolved from an independent studio into a curated gallery of grotesque collections and unearthed oddities. This archive is dedicated to every curious soul who dares to gaze into the abyss. We do not just sell objects; we curate the macabre, the asymmetrical, and the profound.
